"The Word of the Cross”

1Corinthians 1 v18.

 

When they were come to the place which is called CALVARY, there they crucified Him. Luke 23 v33.

 

[Jesus] said It is FINISHED. John 19 v30.

 

God hath made that same JESUS, Whom ye have crucified, both LORD and CHRIST. Acts 2 v 36.

“God sent forth His Son.”

Galatians 4 v4.

 

Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

Philippians 2 v5,7.

 

He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. Philippians 2 v8.

 

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3 v16.

“The Sufferings of Christ”

1Peter 1 v11.

 

He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. Isaiah 53 v3.

 

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows. Isaiah 53v4.

 

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. Isaiah 53 v5.

 

We have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53 v6.

 

And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, And He was numbered with the transgressors. Mark 15 v28.

 

Reproach hath broken My heart. Psalm 69 v20.

“The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus”

Acts 4 v33.

 

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Acts 2 v32.

 

Whom God hath raised up having loosed the pains of death; because it was not possible that He should be holden of it. Acts 2 v24.

 

Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom ye crucified, Whom God raised from the dead. Acts 4 v10.

 

Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

“Repentance unto Life”

Acts 11 v18.

 

It behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name. Luke 24 v46-47.

 

Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 1 v29.

 

A Saviour, for to give repentance. Acts 5 v31.

 

The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. Romans 2 v4.

 

Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2Corinthians 7 v10.

“The Propitiation for our Sins”

1John 2 v2.

 

Death passed upon all men for that all have sinned. Romans 5 v12.

 

Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood. Romans 3 v24-25.

 

God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5 8-9.

 

He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

“Reconciliation”

Romans 5 v17.

 

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. 

2 Corinthians 5 v19.

 

Having made peace through the blood of His Cross, by Him to reconcile. Colossians 1 v20.

 

And you, that were sometime alienated, and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled. Colossians 1 v21.

 

Reconciled to God, by the death of His Son. Romans 5 vl6.

 

As though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5 v20.

“Remission of Sins”

Acts 10 v43.

 

Jesus, Whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5 v30-31.

 

Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 10v17.

 

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1 v9.

 

Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Revelation 1 v5.

“The Throne of Grace”

Hebrews 4 v16.

 

Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. 1Peter 3 v18.

 

Now, in Jesus Christ, ye who sometimes were far off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2 v13.

 

He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8 v32.

 

He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him. Hebrews 7 v 25.

“The Holy Spirit”

Luke 11 v13.

 

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Galatians 3 v13.

 

That we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 

Galatians 3 v14.

 

No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1Corinthians 12 v2.

 

The things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

“Reckon . . . Dead indeed unto Sin”

Romans 6 v11.

 

His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed. 1Peter 2 v24.

 

For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 Romans 6 v10-11.

 

Sin shall not have dominion over you. Romans 6 v14.

“Not of the World”

John 17 v16.

 

Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world. Galatians. 1 v3-4.

 

Ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the World. 

Colossians 2 v20.

 

God forbid that I should glory save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 6 v14.

 

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3 v3.

 

If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 

1 John 2 v15.

“Satan under your Feet”

Romans 16 v20.

 

The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3 v8.

 

That through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2 v14-15.

 

Nailing it to His Cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2 v14-15.

“Christ in You”

Colossians 1 v27.

 

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me. 

Galatians 2 v20.

 

Strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith. Ephesians 3 v16-17.

 

As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them. 

2 Corinthians 6 v16.

 

Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4 v4.

“The Victory”

1 John 5 v4.

 

The Lord said unto my Lord, ‘Sit Thou on My right hand until I make Thy foes Thy footstool’. Acts 2 v34-35.

 

The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. Revelation 12 v9.

 

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony: and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12 v11.

 

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15 v57.

“Jesus . . . Crowned”

Hebrews 2 v9.

 

Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Revelation 1 v5-6.

 

Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Revelation 5 v9.

These verses are all taken from the Bible. Why not look them up, and read the passages in which they are found? They tell of the great things the Saviour has done for us.
